Motorcycle Journey - Fall '06 (blog)
Tuesday, March 13th, Uncle J and I rented a car and drove up to Killington, VT. Wednesday morning we hit the slopes.
It was warm and Wednesday, then cold and snowing Thursday and Friday. A
nor'easter storm began Friday afternoon and we drove back to Boston Friday night
in a blizzard.
I'm in the green jacket, UJ's in the blue. The following are from both of our
cameras, a Canon Powershot and Quickshot.

Saturday March 4th, drove up to New Hampshire with Corey.
Stayed in townhouse with cool friends of Corey's mom.
Sunday March 5th, skied at Attitash, NH. Cracked a ski on collision with ice
block.
Monday, rented new skis, skied at Sunday River, Maine.
Tuesday, back to Attitash, then back home.
All said, it was a week of good friends, good snow, good beer and good times.

In August 2006, my family flew in from Israel
for a 2-week road trip through the East Coast and Midwest. I joined them in
Boston, continuing to Niagara Falls, Detroit, Chicago and Washington.
In Detroit we attended our cousins' bar mitzvas, but did not take any photos
because the guests were observing the Sabbath.
Ode to 35mm film...
These photos were taken with my wonderful 35mm Minolta 303si SLR. Upon returning
to Boston, however, I finally joined the times and bought a digital camera, so
this will be my last album taken with 35mm film.

December 24-29, 2004 - in Florida. Didn't use my camera.
December 30 - flew to Israel.
Weekend of New Years 2005: chilled with the gang at Yoel's house. Shabbat / New Years / chillout weekend. Went crazy with the camera.
I had the camera, so there are no pictures of me.

From Chicago, I flew to Sacramento, to go on a
cross-country road trip...
Left Friday afternoon from Boston, drove to Franconia Notch, hiked in the dark to
Lincoln Woods,
set up base camp, dinner.
Saturday, hiked up Franconia Brook Trail.
Sunday, hiked up Pemiquasit River.
Average temperature during the day 15 F, Night 0 F. (Kept warm by many layers of
non-cotton clothes and the girls' smiles.)
Returned to Boston Sunday night.

intend to learn)

now a crucial fixture)

From August 4th to 17th 2003, I was in Lima, Peru, together with my teammates and coach, representing Israel in the World Schools Debating Championships 2003. Our team was comprised of myself, Talia Gillis, Hayah Goldlist, and Avital Sterngold, and our coach was Alona Toledano. This was not the first international debating competition for any of us, but we surprised even ourselves, coming in 6th place in the world.
Besides the debating, though, I (like everyone else) had an amazing time. I didn't like Lima itself, but the organizers did an amazing job with very limited resources, and the competition was excellent. I met some amazing people, drank lots of Pisco Sours (a great Peruvian drink), and had many unforgettable experiences.
During the course of the competition, I took many photos. These are some of my favorite ones. I hope you enjoy them.

Following the WSDC in August '03, I spent three and a half months in the U.S., working in Michigan for 3 months and vacationing in IL, FL and NY for three weeks. These are some of the photos I took during my time there.
