Cross-platform mobile development frameworks
I've done some research scouting the terrain for cross-platform mobile development frameworks (to build native apps in iPhone, Android, Blackberry, etc without separate native code for each). This is what I've found so far:
- open source (MIT/Nitobi collaboration)
- HTML, JS, CSS (?)
- Community
- were issues w/ PhoneGap approval by App Store, but seem to be resolved
- requires separate platform SDKs
-
by AppCelerator (
closedopen-source) - HTML, JS, CSS
- phonegap vs titanium from n00b eyes
- Ruby and HTML based
- Building Crossplatform Mobile Apps with the Rhodes Framework - hour-long demo
- C/C++
- open source
- QuickConnect came up in search, unclear what it does
- Sony Ericcson WebSDK (does not appear to support iPhone)
Am I missing any? Could anyone recommend resources, comparisons, tips, etc on any of these?
(Update: I mistakenly wrote that Titanium was closed-source; it's not.)
