Bio

Born in Chicago, I lived in the U.S. until age ten, when my family moved to Israel. I graduated high school in Jerusalem. I participated in two World Schools Debating Championships as a member of the Israel Debating Society, in Singapore (Jan. '02) Peru (Aug. '03). I did voice training for two years. I moved back to the U.S. for college, beginning studies at Boston University, with a joint philosophy-political science major and a minor in international relations.

In my freshman year I raced with the BU Cycling Team. As a sophomore, I wrote a weekly political column for the BU student newspaper, and began motorcyling. I took off my junior fall semester to explore the country on a motorcycle. I returned to BU in the spring and graduated magna cum laude.

I have been developing websites and web applications since middle school (see my CV), and in April 2010 I founded New Leaf Digital, a consulting business specializing in custom Drupal development. Later that year, I co-founded Antiques Near Me, a comprehensive local search portal. In 2011 I began shifting my professional focus to the Node.js platform.

I post with varying frequency to my life blog about politics, freelancing, and my life, and more frequently to my tech blog about "discoveries in the midst of my digital life."

When not coding, I am an avid sailor, woodworker, and tinkerer.

I am currently living in Buenos Aires.
